Fisherman for Christ Ministry is a Christ-centered outreach built on a simple but powerful calling from Scripture: “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men” (Matthew 4:19).
Like fishermen who cast their nets with purpose and patience, every conversation, every act of service, and every moment of connection is an opportunity to share the love of Christ. The mission is not about programs or platforms, but about people—reaching the lost, strengthening believers, and walking alongside others in faith. There is one goal: to be faithful disciples of Jesus and to help others come to know Him. Through prayer, teaching, fellowship, and outreach, we strive to live out the Great Commission in practical and personal ways. I believe no one is beyond the reach of God’s love, and every believer is called to cast their net wide. My heart is simple—follow Jesus, love people well, and bring others into the life-changing relationship found in Him alone.

A Fisherman's Calling
For more than 55 years, I've made my living as a commercial fisherman, working the waters up and down the East Coast. I have had several nice trawlers in my career. My last one was a 60-foot trawler, Miss Pollyanna, named after my wife.
Life on the water has taught me many lessons about perseverance, faith, and trusting God's provision.
While fishing has been my vocation, sharing the Gospel has been my calling.
I had the privilege of preaching and teaching with Campus Crusade for Christ at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island in Beaufort, South Carolina, for 15 years. I also serve as a supply pastor for churches whenever their pastor is away or unable to preach. Whether I'm speaking from a church pulpit, a hospital room, or the deck of my boat, my greatest joy is telling people about Jesus Christ and the life-changing difference He has made in my life.
I am now teaching at Meadowbrook Church of Beaufort, 12 Lopo Dr. I only teach expository lessons.
Education has been an important part of preparing for ministry. I graduated from Beaufort High School in 1967 and later pursued biblical studies through Liberty University, where I completed coursework in Old and New Testament studies, biblical knowledge, biblical counseling, and other areas of ministry. I also graduated from Trinity Institute of Christian Counseling.
Education is good, but the best teacher is the lessons we learn from life.
In addition to ministry, I serve as a volunteer chaplain at Beaufort Memorial Hospital, where I have the opportunity to encourage patients and families during some of life's most difficult moments.
God has blessed me beyond measure with a wonderful family. My wife and I are the proud parents of five amazing children, who have blessed us with 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grands. They keep life interesting, keep us laughing, and remind us daily of God's goodness.
Whether through my books, devotionals, preaching, or personal conversations, my prayer is simple: that every person I meet will come to know the hope, peace, and salvation found in Jesus Christ.
Just because I have done all these things and taught and studied does not mean I have not been through hard times because of sin. It is also because of the lessons I learned on the hard path that I want to share with others, hoping they might miss some of the hard places I have been. Also, if you wake up one morning and find yourself trapped in a life of sin, I know the answer, and His name is Jesus Christ.
The books that I write and the lessons I teach all come from the Word of God and the lessons I have learned in life so far. Life is full of lessons. Some good, some not so good.
